Zoom Out

THE PROJECT

Zoom Out is a project that aims to foster critical thinking and common values by approaching European children’s literature from an intersectionality to develop citizenship, cultural awareness & literacy competences among students and teachers.

It engages school teachers, pre-service teachers and students in the elaboration of educational resources, it develops resources to foster social and intercultural competences and critical thinking from an intersectional perspective, with the aim of raising awareness on inclusion and diversity.

Zoom out is a project financed by Erasmus+ and it involves 9 partners from 4 different countries: Spain, Croatia, Italy and Poland.

RESOURCES

Training

Teachers’, Pre-service teachers’ and wide education community training models will be in electronic format, available in Catalan, Croatian, English, Italian, Polish & Spanish.
The Training is replicable and transferable to other contexts and by other organizations.
There will be 3 adaptations of the Training Model according to its target.

Promising practices

The Promising Practices Report will only be available in digital format.

Toolbox

The Toolbox will provide innovative practical resources based on European children’s literature heritage to foster social and intercultural competences, and critical thinking from an intersectional perspective and also tools and recommendations that take into account the unique context and offer a valuable resource for improving intercultural competencies within and among partner countries.

Handbook

The Handbook will include each partner's experiences with the project's implementation, with the aim of becoming a European promising practice model.
The Handbook is designed for primary school teachers and school librarians but it can also be used by other actors such as families, leisure time educators or libraries.

Awareness Campaign

To raise awareness on social inclusion and diversity using Europe’s children’s literature heritage as a starting point is addressed to primary school students & teachers, families, librarians, leisure time educators, available in different formats:

a) Video animation explaining the project, its approach and the outcomes
b) Short videos (fragments of Toolbox audiovisual resources) to disseminate through social media
c) Visual posters for school libraries and classrooms with QR code leading to the project website

All the materials will be available in 6 languages: Catalan, Croatian, English, Italian, Polish & Spanish.
