Zoom Out is a project that aims to foster critical thinking and aligned values by approaching European children’s literature from an intersectional perspective, aiming to develop citizenship, cultural awareness, and literacy skills among students and teachers.
It engages school teachers, pre-service teachers, and students with educational resources that foster social and intercultural skills and critical thinking from an intersectional perspective, with the aim of raising awareness of inclusion and diversity.
Zoom Out is financed by Erasmus+ and involves 10 partners from 4 different countries: Spain, Croatia, Italy, and Poland.
Training models for teachers, pre-service teachers, and the wider education community will be provided in an electronic format, available in Catalan, Croatian, English, Italian, Polish, and Spanish. The training is replicable and transferable to other contexts and organizations. There will be 3 adaptations of the training model according to each target audience.
The Promising Practices Report will be available only in digital format.
The Toolbox will provide innovative hands-on resources based on the heritage of European children’s literature to foster social and intercultural skills and critical thinking from an intersectional perspective. It will also offer tools and recommendations tailored to unique contexts, serving as a valuable resource for improving intercultural skills within and among partner countries.
The Handbook will include each partner’s experiences with the project’s implementation, with the aim of becoming a European guide. Designed for primary school teachers and school librarians, it can also be utilized by families, educators, and libraries.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of social inclusion and diversity among primary school students, teachers, families, librarians, and educators, using European children’s literature as a starting point. Featuring the wonderful illustrations by visual artist Cristina Zafra, it is available for download in six languages: Catalan, Croatian, English, Italian, Polish, and Spanish.
Three educational resources created to encourage critical thinking in the classroom. Developed from an intersectional perspective, they aim to show how different axes of inequality interact with one another and contribute to shaping our lived experiences. Available in multiple languages.
